The game I'm presently playing is the first one where I acquired the mace of disruption and got that special teflon coating (How's that for not being a spoiler?). Talk about making a difference. Early in the game (Chap. 2 &3) it always made a great weapon; but now the difference is amazing. Those undead seem to drop like flies and I'm saving a lot of spells and money not having to use restoration. If you've never upgraded this mace before then I really reccomend that you do.

Also, the MOD+2 is a MUST when soloing fighters... If u dont have it, u'll be level drained like hell....

This baby also proves tremendeously handy in IWDII.

If you read the text (weapon - upgraded MOD) then you'll know why "Those undead drop like flies".

Sure is a great weapon.

its not always a must.u can always use an alternative to avoid level draining for soloing fighters:the amulet from the thieves guild.if u think that u don't want to waste proficiencies in mace (cause its mild damage) but want to proficiency axe (for the other undead weapon), this amulet is worth it.

the amulet cannot be used by straight fighters, rangers paladins and multiclassed fighters, yes but not a non-spellcaster.

Actually, it cannot be used by pure fighters or thieves only (Its a fighter/mage's best friend).

Morgeruat's wording would have been better punctuated as "The Amulet cannot be used by straight Fighters. Rangers, Paladins and Multiclassed Fighters, yes, but not a non-spellcaster."

Classes that CAN:
Mage/Sorcerer
Bard
Druid
Cleric
Paladin
Ranger
Any Multiclass of any of the above
Any Dual-class of any of the above, provided the above class is active

Classes that CAN'T:
Fighter
Barbarian
Monk
Thief

In short, if your character has access to a Mage Book or Priest Scroll (or if you're an Inquisitor), you can wear it.

Actually a thief can use it with a certain ToB HLA.
But in vanilla SoA... no way!
