Lately I have turned my attention to Sazerac's traits table on page 3 of the "best tips" page. I have been trying to find a way to achieve the last couple of traits that Sazerac has not yet been able to get. So far I have been unsuccesful. First of all I have been focusing on giving items to people that might have indirectly uttered a wish concerning those items or something of their ilk. It is after all the way that one achieves the arcane void trait from Jathil. So far that has not been paying off. I also tried giving the "heart of the dragon" amulet to Erathsmedor, but that yielded nothing other than bereaving me the opportunity to invoke it for the dragon fire trait.

There is some logic in the fact that the snake skin trait is achievable in the Snake Temple. There is also some logic in getting the iron lung trait in Collasium. Perhaps there is a way of deducting how to achieve the rest of the traits?

I would really appreciate it if all you fine ladies and gentlemen out there would help me in my "Quest for the "MISSING TRAITS""!

Oh yes! By the way: Sazerac forgot to mention that the iron lung trait can be acquired by invoking the Ring of Neptune found in Collasium.

It has been too long for me to remember from personal experience but according to the Tome of Misinformation, the Ring of Neptune gives you protection from paralysis 25%, Hit+1 and Regeneration +1.

Which traits are you trying to get?

The Ring of Neptune can also be invoked like Kerah's Sword. It yields the iron lung trait.

The traits that Sazerac has been unable to find a way of acquiring are:

Firebrand
Guardian Ward
Heroic Legacy
Mercury's Heel
Mindspeak
Regeneration
Soul Bane
Spellfire

As to the Mercury's Heel trait he mentions that it might be the same as the Faerie Wing trait?

And as to the soul bane trait I have come to think that my valkyrie actually might have that trait... I shall check that later tonight.

Well, I checked the Tome of Misinformation and these traits are all listed there but with no indication of how one actually gains them. There is the possibility that these traits were not actually included in the released game.

Will be interesting to find out if anyone has managed to gain these traits and how.

I've never get any trait from your list. Because I've played W&W really many times and because I've tried lot of things [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img] I am thinking that the Scroll of Misinformation lists traits that are no more present in the game. Perhaps, the traits were removed from the game during its development. Perhaps, they are available but only under very strict conditions, for example, only for a certain combination of race and role and only if you take a certain decision in the game. I don't know and I would like to know... Some traits on the list are very interesting.

but wat exactly does the Mindspeak and Soul Bane traits do??? i've been pondering these and trying to figure out the effects but to no avail.......
the Heroic Legacy trait is one awesome trait! however, getting it requires some effort, and i forgot where to get it....... :(

Again, according to the Tome of Misinformation:

Mindspeak - 25% resistance to being silenced

Soul Bane - Any undead creature that damages the character with this trait will take an equal amount of damage.

To keep you posted with my progress: First of all, my valkyrie did NOT have the soul bane trait. Secondly: Letting one's character's body be inhabited by Cet and subsequently killing Anephas apparently yields no traits. Neither does refusing to hand over the Mavin after having slain Cet. The reason why I say "apparently" is the fact that all my party characters have a full list of traits. Thus it not possible for me to determine whether my character has gained the trait but it just turns up so far down on the list that I cannot see it. It is however for certain, that I have not gained the firebrand trait since the characters' fire protection stat has not risen.

Has anyone tried to keep the Mavin and play the game all over again?

Oh, and Lionheart: If you still have the saved game: With what charater did you gain the Heroic Legacy trait? What is the gender of the character? What present and previous roles has the character got? Of which guilds is the character a member?

I just thought I would bump this topic up in the front row again.

Tell me then, please, has anyone managed to "vanish" to any seemingly significant places. Or has anyone done ANYTHING seemingly significant and gained no traits from doing so? I would really like to know. It helps me cutting down on the experiments I have to carry out.

Or perhaps we might hear some inside information from alz? Are the missing traits available at all?

Oh yes, by the way I jumped up to the oracles to see if they could be pickpocketed og killed. That yielded nothing either.

And Lionheart, can you at least tell me if you have the saved game with the character who has the heroic legacy trait?
