I'm planning to have the following ino my new party:

Me: Kensai/Mage
Minsk: Just because he's Minsk
Aerie: Love interest
Korgan: Best fighter
Imoen: My thief, (propably Jan previously or Nalia, whom I've never tried, what do you think?)

Who should be my sixth character, I ususally bring Jaheira but I'm tired of her and I just hate her character. I'm thinking of bringing Keldorn just because Carsomyr is so good. But then I'm afraid I'll have a shortage of Clerics. Should I bring Viconia? I hear there's a conflict with Aerie- (oh yeah now that I've remembered, can I have both Aerie and Korgan?)- but I don't find her that valuable. I was also wondering what are the druid abilities in ToB. I'd love to have an arch-druid in my party but still I don't want Jaheira, and I'm not taking Cernd.

Viconia is a good choice, I wonder are you a little fighter heavy though if youve played through with Minsc before get rid of him and try out Edwin then you have a really evil party and great magical offence. Aerie wont leave your party because of viconia, it takes a long time to happen with Korgan.

I want to play a good party since this is what I'll be taking in ToB, and I want to play normally. I'm thinking about Viconia, but it just doesn't feel right taking straight cleric. I never thought of them as important and prefered to have them multi classed. I really have no idea, what to do. I'd really like to get Keldorn, just for the Carsomyr and those lovely dispel magics, but then I wouldn't have any good clerics. Should I get Anomen I wonder, is he a worthy fighter? Or perhaps I should just stick to Jaheira. Its just that, I well, hate her. Just hearing her voice makes me sick. I'd really like to try something new.

You will be surprised how good a cleric can be at high levels, still drop Minsc

Fine, I think I'll get Viconia. I'm was wondering about her interactions in the Underdark anyway. Can she use any ranged weapons? I don't think I'll have her melle, but if she can use a crossbow, it would would make for a welcome change, since I've never used crossbows before. Oh, I remember the lovely days of BG1 now, when I'd load up with bolts and arrows, and go of in the wilderness, killing hobgoblins and kobolds. I miss those days. I think I'll have to reinstall BG1 after this.

Anyway, there's no way I'm leaving Minsk. Role-playing reasons. I just can't think of finishing the Baldur's Gate saga, and not having Minsk by my side.

However are you sure there is not going to be a problem with Aerie. I don't want to drop any of these characters.

Aerie will eventually leave because of Korgan but those interactions only happen if you leave them standing around for ages. Good party please please drop minsc though.

BG1 ah yes remember the xzart village with their friend the bear or the kid in a tower. protecting a cow from tasloi how innocent.
