Hello everyone, long time reader first time posting.

First question I have is how do I get this CLUA console I keep reading about. I haven't found an answer to that otherwise I'd probably have answered my Aerie romance question by now. I've read the romance guide and as far as I can tell I've completed the romance apparently.

I left her out of my party to avoid the whole Bodhi killing her deal. I'm in Chapter 6. I don't think I left her out of the party for 3 days but I'm not sure so I need someone to instruct me how to check on this. Also is there any more dialog in SoA after not sleeping with her. As far as I can tell I chose all the right dialogs and ended it with not having sex with Aerie etc. Is there anything else after that or do I wait until ToB?

Thanks all.

Ouch, I think you should've left her in the party for the Bodhi thing. >.< As far as I know, booting someone out of your party during a romance breaks the romance.

Otherwise, the Bodhi issue would have completed the romance. Aerie regards you as the light of her life, and the next step is indeed Throne of Bhaal.

I think you may have broken the romance. The Bodhi section is integral to any romance, since it happens with whomever you happen to be romancing.

Thanks for the welcome.

What I need to find out is how to get the console in BG2 and check to see what the romance setting is for Aerie. If the romance setting is 2 all is well... If it's 3 then time to go back to reload. Luckily I have a save game just before going to face Bodhi and I've just finished killing her so no big deal right now going back to re-kill the bloodsucker. ;)

According to the Romance guide I read the romance is finished and she's in love with my character and there's no more dialogue, so does it kill the romance if I ask her to leave after she's already in love? I tell you, some women are so fickle. lol

Does more to the romance occur if you resurrect your dead lover at the temple of Amaunator?

Cheers

First of all, Welcome to Ironworks!

To open the console:

Open the "baldur.ini" and add the line "Debug Mode=1" under the first "topic" in the document. You might wanna do a backup first since it can ruin your game.

I dont remember, but i think you open the console in the game by pressing Ctrl+Space but it was a long time since I used it.

After Bodhi turns and you kill Aerie you can use the Temple of Amounator to bring her back to life, and there's an extra piece of dialogue. That's all.

But yeah, once you activate CLUA, a certain command only looks up the Romance Value, and doesn't affect it. I can't remember the code, though with enough hunting I'm sure you'll find it.

Ok thanks everyone. For anyone who looks up this topic later this is what you need to know for checking into any of the romances to see where they're at.

Taken from the BG2 Romancing Guide by Extremist with help from Slappy.:

CharacterActiveRomance

This is major romance variable. It shows the current romance state and you should always check it if things seem to be going wrong. It can be accessed with the following commands (i.e. for Aerie):
CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("AerieRomanceActive","GLOBAL ") – to find out what value it has.
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("AerieRomanceActive","GLOBAL ",XX) – to manually set the value.

Change the variable name to Jaheira, Viconia or Anomen for their values.

Possible values of this variable (XX) are:
0 – romance was never started,
1 – romance is progressing,
2 – romance lives, NPC is finally in love with you,
3 – romance is dead for good.

Just one last note:

When putting in the CLUAConsole:GetGlobal...etc Put in the WHOLE thing (including CLUAConsoler) exactly as it is spelled out there including caps where it shows, otherwise it won't work.

And on a happy note in my game the romance for Aerie was still set at 2 so everything is all right and the romance lives. Now onto Chapter 7.

If you kick a romanced character out of the party, the romance dies, period.

Just keep her in the party when you go kill Bodhi, it's not a big deal, and it's an integral part of the romance.
