i need help with a file that i downloaded. it is a .nrg file i have no idea what program uses .nrg files but i think it is some kind of cd file becasue it has an icon like a cd. any insight into what it is would be helpful.

I would go for the nero CD-image option myself. And if your going to ask how to burn it without Nero burning ROM, I don't know but I'm pretty sure theres a free trial of the software available.
