Maybe there are different kinds of diseases with different effects, but one of my chars definately had a "wasting disease", and I checked his stats in old save games... he lost 2 points in one stat, 3 in another and 3 in a third by the time he got to a temple!... I then saved before using the temple and then "cured" him. The little "disease" icon went away, but his stats still were -2, -3, and -3!!!... I decided this wasn't acceptable, so I hex edited the char and put the stats back to what they were before he caught the disease... Hope this helps

Thanks, I have accepted a minor loss of stats on curing at the temple - hex editors rather defeat the purpose of playing a game in my view, but each to his own....
