I see this question a fair bit. To dual-class, you need to:
a) Be a human
b) Have at least 15 in your first class' primary statistic
c) Have at least 17 in your secondary class' primary statistic
You also need to be higher than level 2, but that's not really a problem in this game.

There are four parts to the Crom Faeyr. The scroll is on a shadow dragon, the gauntlets are in the Planar Sphere, the warhammer is in a small enclave underneath the temple district, and the girdle is on a demon knight in the Underdark. You needn't worry about assembling the Crom Faeyr until after chapter five.

Your prime requisite in your initial class needs to be 16 at least and your prime requisite in your secondary class must be 17 at least. So if you are a fighter dualling to a mage, you need to have at least a 16 STR and a 17 INT to do it. Oh, and you need to be human as well. Only humans can dual class.

Oh, it is 15 is it? Ok.

Yep, it's 15. At least that's what this ancient-falling-apart-AD&D book tells me.

is duel classing different from simply choosing a multi class character in the start?
cos i always hear people saying dualling from a fighter to a mage...
and whats this shadow mage stuff i always hear

Sorry to interupt but I have this question I have been dying to ask; I have read repeatly here that a ranger/thief is a possible combo. I know that I cannot do that with my game, but I have read many references to being that class.. Could anybody fill me in?
