Cloudy's Cafe, a conversation zone, December 10, 2007

Previous Cafe is here
Cloudy's Cafe

Come in, be welcome, be comfortable, be yourself

Welcome to Cloudy's Cafe, a place to have a cup of coffee or a good
darjeeling and the finest in conversation and camaraderie.

The proprietor asks that you follow a few simple guidelines:

this is a real conversation zone, not a role-play zone

* no flaming; if you disagree with a viewpoint expressed by any patron, please do so in a civil manner

* any topic is fair game, but keep posts to the standards that Ziroc has set for the entire forum, please (ie: foul language is not appropriate and things should be suitable for all audiences)
-a side note from Cloudy: I see this as a place for those short
conversations about a new baby or the latest soccer fiasco, not for things that are big enough to warrant their own threads, by all means give those things the space they need and post separately!

* Please, no one word or smiley posts (Ziroc has declared them 'real spam' and the proprietor doesn't want the reputuation of "good spam" to suffer!)

* do feel free to be serious or silly and enjoy the company of others while you are here. By all means POST if you have something to say, even to start another topic , we can handle multiple chats, we're a CAFE!!! But be courteous and don't disrupt a conversation just to disrupt it.

Come on in! The bar is stocked with coffees, teas, juices and waters from around the world. And purple napkins, of course!

The lighting is low, the golden oak counters and tables glow with inviting warmth. Near the window, the lighting is brighter, as comfy, plush leather armchairs wait for those who'd like to read a book while relaxing to music or just lazily watch the world go by.

The advantage of having a superdrug nearby - Shopping for female friends was done ages ago.

Phew!

Just got all my christmas shopping done too. I'd like to say i'm glad I went early, but the shops have been packed for the last month! Maybe for once EVERYONE thought they would get in early :P

So what's going on in here? Is there new staff with each new cafe? I'd hate to have to learn everyones name over and over again... :D

Gosh I haven't shopped for anyone yet, other than myself LOL. Lots of clothes shopping for myself and my new job.....LOTS.... :D

Still a lot of training going on at work. We also converted over to a document management system over the weekend, so everything gets opened and saved in a completely different way! LOL, maybe next year I reckon sometime I'll be finished with all the training/learning stuff at my new job!

Target was a frikken mess the other day. I mean sheesh, it was like a bunch of animals went through the shoe department! I'd say about 70% of the shoes did not match the size on their boxes. I guess the animals didn't bother to put back shoes in the correct boxes when they didn't fit or something. I really love Tar-jay, but they really need to get their employees to take care of the store a bit better. I mean, the least they could have done was fix the shoe mess and put everything back in its place. But nooo, instead they just let the hoards root and scavenge LOL.

Tis why I love online shopping more and more each year LOL. :) :D

Eef, LZ! I think they must be related to the ones who drag sweaters off the WallyWorld (Walmart) racks and then run 'em over with their carts! Saw that two years ago at this time of year when shopping with hubby. Was such a shame, they actually ruined a few of the sweaters.

We've done all of our shopping, yay! Although a few things are on order and may or may not make it in time, we'll see. Still, it's nice to be mostly done already! I have to brave the mall at least one more time this week, though because I had to leave a gold chain to be repaired at the jewelers. I broke it when taking my scarf off one day, just kind of yanked the scarf AND the necklace...duh!

FREE CHOCOLATE!

LOL, just seeing if anyone's out there! :D I'm in a very good mood this morning and may actually be seeing a HUGE project get finished this week.. which would be WONDERFUL as it's been driving me nuts since summer!

Dealing with head and chest congestion still, but despite that, feeling happy so everyone have a good day and share a little cheer! :D

Well I ordered five different sweaters from Kohls.com the other day LOL. I don't think I've ever shopped in one of their stores physically before, but they had some really good prices on some sweaters that fit exactly what I was looking for! Need ones to fit under blazers for work. So yay on that, supposed to get them delivered before Dec 25!

That's about all I've been doing except working my butt off at my new job LOL.

Boy the days are going by fast now this week! It'll be Christmas Day before we know it! :) And then back to work. :(

:hehe:
