I don't understand it. Why would a Druid not be able to DC to a Mage?
I made a Shapeshifter for the sole purpose of DC to a Mage, but it won't DC. Even though I have 16 in Int.

Am I missing something as far a as stats? Or can you just not DC a Druid to a Mage? It does offer DC to a fighter, but obviously that's not what I want.

Can someone explain this to me please?

Not sure, never tried to create a druid/mage. But you need a 17 (!) on your Intelligence to dual-class to a mage anyway, not a 16.

Cant say ive ever treid dualing those classes either. Regardless, 17 (18 would be even better) is the minimum as far as I know for the requirement for intelligence if you want to dual class to mage. really in my opinion anything less than 18 is a waste of time because you want the higher intelligence so you can cast the higher level spells once they become available to you.

NOTE TO IMMORAL!

Are you the same Immoral who just registered at the Elysium and tried to post there? I have to warn you we've got some technical problems at the moment, no new members are able to sign up properly; sorry man, but it means you can't post at the moment. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif

Thank you all for the info.

I was wondering what the deal was at the other site. Thx again.

I thought that the Int. of 16 might be a factor so, I changed it to 18 (purely for test purposes) with SK. Still won't DC to Mage. Any other ideas?

Since I do not know all of the D&D rules for such things, I can only speculate that 2nd edition AD&D has a class restriction to Druids dualing as Mages, much like a halfling can not be a Paladin, but in third edition, you can.
Maybe you are thinking of the 3rd edition rules...I don't know...that is just something to think on.
I am not sure if I even know what I am talking about. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Some classes cannot dual class to anything as far as I can tell. I believe druids and paladins have this problem. I wonder if it would be possible to dual from a mage into a druid...

Well, youŽll need 17wis and 15int to dual from a druid to a mage but it also must be a valid multi-class.

Per the Game Manual, it is a valid multiclass, so it should work... http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...s/confused.gif
