what would u choose, a mage or sorcerer?
|
Sorcerer. True a mage can prepare for any situation better then a sorcerer but there are not that many encounters where you know what you will be facing so if there is a whole bunch of fighters swarming you a sorcerer can cast stoneskin till the cows come home but the mage probably didnt waste that many spell slots for just stoneskin and if you find yourself against a golem or other things that take magical weapons to hit and have high magic resistance you can cast a whole crapload of melfs minute meteors to hit them.

yeah, i agree.
the sorcerer is an all around great wizard! i much prefer the sorce's spell memorization system to that of a normal mages. To have the option of casting all the spells u know is a great (if not completely realistic) option! [This message has been edited by Malavon (edited 05-19-2001).] |
The lich custom kit that someone made is great if you think the mages way of spellcasting is unrealistic(but it IS a world where dragons and giants exist so I suppose they can ge away with it). They have a certain amount of spell points per day and the cost of a spell increases with each spell level so its more like a mana system. I forgot the link though so maybe some kind member(not THAT member rudedawg) can post the link.
