It's just a shame that it wasn't fixed for 98 though. ;)

Or for Windows ME ;)

Must be something wrong with the date system on Ironworks... this thread MUST be from 1999 or so.

95, 98, ME? You mean those antique operating systems?

You mean someone is actually still running ANY of those? I wonder if anyone ever did run ME... that was THE worst operating systems I've ever seen.

Me too. It came with my 2nd hand laptop, although it was replaced pretty fast. I also just repaired someone elses computer after a failed hard drive and they run ME.

It's so astonishingly bad, that sometimes nothing works. I can't install BG2 in ME, the install just dies and it stops reading the CD. Replacing with Linux or WinXP and it installs fine. There are some really fundamental flaws with it!

Where I'm doing my internship during the summer there are still older PCs, which haven't been replaced yet which run Win 95 or 98. Companies don't suddenly buy new PCs when a new Windows comes out so as just to have it if the old PCs can still perfectly do what they are needed for.

I still think Win 98 was the best thing ever produced by Microsoft.

One of my computers still running ME. I need it to play older games.
