When you install the Collecters Edition patch a bonus merchant appears. You can buy goods from him but you can free him too. What's your choice at this point?

Here's the Complete list of Genie's stock! Uh, I said complete list but I'll list only good (useful) items.

BELOW LEVEL 10

Cloak of Displacement (+4 AC against missile, +2 fortifude, +2 reflex saves)

Boots +5 AC against missile

Girdle +3 AC against piercing attacks

BETWEEN LEVEL 10-14

Ring of energy (2d6 damage)

Bracers +4

Boots -/6 Electric Resistance

LEVEL 14 AND UP

Ring of freedom

Ring of invisibility

Girdle +4 AC against blunt attack

Firewand (casts fireball and agannazar's scorcher)

Wand of remove paralyses

Gaunlets +1 ATTACK +2 DAMAGE

Boots of Speed

These items OR..

IF YOU LET THE GENIE GO

Bracers + 5 AC (it's non magical which means it stacks with any armor you wear while the other bracers not)

Cloak +1 (save & deflection)

A gem

Choice is yours. I'll free genie. The equipment he sells is great but can be afford, found anywhere. You can find ring of freedom, girdles, boots etc but where is the bracer+5? One more thing, you get cloak and bracers for free [img]smile.gif[/img]

Plus I think you get some exp for freeing him - and I think he turns violent if you summon him more than 3 times to buy things.

BTW, you have to free him the first time you summon him for the free stuff; otherwise he basically just gives you a hearty handshake as his thanks..

If you free him, all his items will be transferred to Conlan's son who is in the tower as well.

I installed the merchant patch, but didn't see any genie.

Nym at the Wandering Village has a new item for sale when the mod is installed. It's called "averine decanter". Buy that, put it on your belt, and click on it in the main screen. The genie appears with his offer. It does not grant wishes.
