Hi folks,
I've bought a second machine and need to export my game to this
second machine. What do I do?
Thanks!

First load the games with the factory disks then just copy the save
game file and load it into the save game file of the new computer,
this is the very best way to do this!!!!!
Don't try to transfer the whole game from one computer to the other
that will drive you completely crazy with all the gliches you'll
end up with.
I have done this tem or fifteen times with friends we all have the same games and we make copies of our save games and trade them back and forth to see if we can do better with someones team than they did
This works with all of the Infinity Engine games like Baldurs Gate I
And BGII just don't try to mix up the Ice Wind Dale and Baldurs Gate
Games or you'll have to reload everything. Good Luck

so I should go into the mpsave folder and copy the file with the name
(e.g.) "Fight with Boss" and nothing else?
I'll try this. You're right, when I copied the entire mpsave folder, the game kept crashing.
thanks for responding.

Might I add that if you copy your savegames to a CD instead of a floppy, Windows has the nasty habit of turning all files in the folder to "read only" This way you cannot load the files while in the game anymore! The solution to it is simple: Just change all files in the map from "Read only" to "Archive" You can do this by rightclicking on a file (in Windows Explorer) and then go to "Properties" where you change the above. Fairly simple as I said, but it took me about 6 months to find it out :(

The factory cd's do not create an mpsave directory that appears
after saving a few games.
Do I create a new mpsave directory and copy the contents from
my old computer?
thanks
I copied the contents of the mpsave directory to the
tempsave directory and that didn't work.
Any suggestions?

Well,

As far as I knows The Game should create a Mpsave directory itself, I don't know why it doesn't but: If there isn't one you could indeed simply create one yourself, I did it too and it works fine!

Thank you!!!!
That suggestion worked!
