This might be a stupid question, but I am up to the Lessel quest for the shodow thieves and cannot find edwin anywhere, does he appear later in the game or can I recruit him now?

welcome to the forum. after you complete the quests that edwin has for you, i think three in total, he will offer to join up with you (or at least he SHOULD)

When you go into Maevar's guild. Speak to Renal Bloodscalp at the Shadow Thieves guild to start this quest.
