I am new to this stuff I have gathered he the most powerfull Mage but could you tell me about him ?

He is lvl29 mage and a chosen of Mystra who grands him special powers.
He has been a fighter, thief and cleric before he became a mage and he was at the birth of Myth Drannor.
But im not really into this stuff so you should probably ask someone like memnoch.

He is the creation of the evil Ed Greenwood!!!! The only thing that stopped Ed from being thrown into hell was the creation of the seven sisters and thats if he did create them.
If not HE IS GOING TO HELL!!!!!!

I hate to admit that I have read none of the Elminster books. I have read most of the Salvatore books on Forgotten Realms (re: Drizzt) but no other FR books. I am very curious about Elminster and would like to read those books concerning him. Is there a site where I could get a listing of those books (in chronological order preferably -- I like to read them as the character develops).

I think there is a mentioning of him coming from Shadowdale where he lives in a tower with his scribe - Theo (is it?) or is it Thaeo?

And also he is Chaotic good
