1. I'm soloing as a cavalier, and have a problem...
I'm not strong enough (even with that holy power spell thingy, can't remember the name...) to open all locks!
So the question is...where do I ifnd th girdle of stone giant strength?

2.Because I solo, I wonder what NPC's private uests, give you the most valuable items?

As always, I'm happy for any responsehttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no.../xyxthumbs.gif

I can only answer to your first question.
You find that girdle in Suldanesselar from one Rakhassa (or something like that).

1) You will never be able to open all locks, but all important quest related locks can be opened by using Draw Upon Holy Might to boost your STR. Early in the game, you can buy a Girdle of Hill Giant Strength from Ribald in the Adventurer's Mart. As you gain in level, the STR bonuses increases. Note also that that DUHM adds to your current STR, with the GoHGS, you have 19 STR, assuming you are level 9, you get a STR bonus of 3 with DUHM, giving a total of 22 STR.

Girdle of Stone Giant Strength is found in Chap 7, http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif in Sudanesslar.

2) When I soloed, I only did one NPC's quest, Keldorn's one, because it was the easiest and had no waiting time. Your dream equipment are all found elsewhere, you can refer to the Paladin Dream Equipment thread for ideas.

I am currently in the Underdark, I did all the subquests before I went, and I have reached the maximum level of 34 already. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gifhttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gifhttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif My Cavalier is chewing everything out, the beginning will be tough, but once you reach a certain level, you will be almost unstoppable. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

Make full use of your Priest spells, I always use Barkskin and Armour of Faith for tough fights, and Free Action is invaluable during a magic intensive battle.

I am not Ares, but yes, you do get the Boots of Speed from the Planar Prison subquest. It is not a Haer' Dalis quest though.

Nope, you do not. You do not even need Haer' Dalis in your party to get that subquest.

The only NPCs with NPC related subquests are the following,

Related as in you must have the NPC in your party.

Mazzy, her niece falls ill.
Nalia, trouble with her bethrothed
Jan Jansen, his ex-girlfriend's daughter falls ill
Jaheira, her Harpers' quests
Keldorn, family problems
Korgan, Book of Kaza quest
Edwin, Nether scroll quest
Anomen, sister's murder quest
Cernd, son got kidnapped.
and any romance related quests.

Haer' Dalis was supposed to have a quest, about him being framed for murder, but it never got implemented in the game. The house related to his quest can be found in the Bridge District, but the triggers are not there.
