Anybody know where i could get the hilt of the equalizer sword???

alot of my friends say its the best longsword in the game...

Wait i got the blade of the equalizer from the elder orb... not the hilt... i have a feeling that the hilt is somewhere in the underdark... hmm...

The Equalizer is a great sword, but only if used correctly. Other longswords in the game work better in different places.

The Equalizer is a +3 longsword, but it does extra damage vs foes depending on their alignment. Against a druid lets say, which is true neutral, it doesn't do any extra damage, while against chaotic evil or lawful good (paladins, etc) it does +6 damage. This is good against foes you know to be good or evil.

Daystar is the best sword against undead, +4 bonuses plus double damage, plus your 1/day fry the undead ability LOL. Against all others its just a +2 sword, so you whip it out when undead come a knocking.

Dragonslayer is a +2 sword, but against dragons does double damage, so that would be the best sword to use vs dragons, and probably won't get used against anything else.

Longsword of the Rose, very nice +3 weapons, I use this sometimes, but its great to hold when your talking to the merchants, use the helm of glory, hold the longsword of the Rose, wear the ring of human influence (18 char) and all your encounters are treated as if you had 21 charisma or so. The cost of Merchandise is based on your reputation AND your reaction adjustment with the merchant. 20 reputation and 6 charisma get you good prices, 20 reputation AND 21 charisma gets you GREAT store prices.

Its not just +4 vs undead, the item description says "against Evil." which would be anything of evil alingment (ie demons, most of the dragons)
