X3: Reunion (very cool space trade/combat game)
HL2: Episode 1 (must play, that's all there is to it)
NFS: Most Wanted (fun brainless twitch game with lots of eye candy on fast systems)

Doom3:RoE & Doom3 (wasn't too scary for me!)

For the past year all I had was an old laptop which couldn't run anything new, so I was replaying some old games. And I haven't had time to finish anything on my new PC since I got it:

You have not played X3-Reunion if you think alliance is still the best space sim. It was fun it it's day but it's too long in the tooth... X3 has a LOT more to offer. There's nothing quite like going into combat in a capital ship and opening up with the port flac artilliary array on those pesky fighters... watching them burst in flames as the other M2's in your fleet clash head to head with the enemy heavies. If your PC is fast enough the thing to do is hop into a fast light fighter and zip around the battlefield. The only thing I've ever seen that reminds me of the space combat intensity is the opening scene in Revenge of the Sith where the jedi are flying around during the emperor kidnap scene.

Try it you'll like it... a LOT.

19 bucks on steam too.
