I'am soloing my first game as an elven sorcerer. I'm lvl 12 now, just finished de'Arnise Keep.

WOOOOWWW. I am so powefull !! I even got less resting and relaoding !!!

Is it just me, or is the game now easier. I remember more difficulties with a full group.

Will it be always easier, or will the difficulty increase later ???

Thanks and have fun !

I'm thinking about soloing but there's some points which makes me think about it, you can knock chests but how to disarm traps? also even for knocking you'll have to rest many times. and I can imagine what to do when 6 umber hulks are running through you do you have any advices tactics, the hard experiences you meet, I'll be happy if you share..

and what's your spell list? (an advice:get the animate dead spell)

Regarding Umber Hulks - all you need is a Cloudkill Wand. Shake it at them and watch 'em drop like flies...

EDIT: Forgot to add - you get one wand right at the game start, in Irenicus dungeon..

Well, i am not so experienced. It's just my third BG II and my first in solo.

You're right, some fights are tough. But learning the adequate spells is the KEY for a safe journey in Amn + the good equipment (you'll need wand of cloudkill and wand of summoning)

My list of spells is based on the list you can find on Gamebanshee (except one or two modifications i did). I recommand you the "guide of the solo sorcerer" you'll find there.

You'll play solo or normal (i mean full group) for different reason. If you like interactivity and variety of classes and abilities, go for group. If you like being the one that crushes all, if you like to watch your enemies suffer from your insane spell power then...eheh solo a sorcerer (elven so you can have 19 dex)

Have fun

If you want to watch your enemies REALLY suffer, play as a cavalier or inquisitor with carsomyr. You can take down dragons without any trouble at all, and mages cant touch you.

Solo idea encouraged me to go solo. So, I gave it a shot but after 1 or 2 hours I get bored no interaction no romance :( where's my Aerie to make love!! you have to be self-satisfying I got my Aerie! taste the loneliness and power to your hand hehheh
