Long has the W&W box lain dormant. In the distant past I travelled the lands of the Gael Serran, almost to the point of finishing the game. And then came Wizardry 8, and I was enchanted. And so W&W languished. Upon the completion of Wiz 8, I looked again to W&W, but couldn't get it to run on Windows XP. And so it was once again forgotten.
Finally I decided I wanted to play again, and after much cursing and growling got W&W to run on my computer, and so I once again strayed into the Gael Serran. And once again I'm hooked! It's like coming home - seeing all the familiar people and creatures, wandering the same paths - I love it! I had forgotten so many things, including: 1. How much I love those horses 2. How much I hate those jungle lilies and friends Now the phrases "yer going to die" and "ya pays for pies" once more haunt my dreams. It's great to be back! And once again it is so wonderful to have a place to come for answers! |
Welcome back, catzenpewters!!!
Very glad to hear you picked up the game again!! :D And of course the same friendly help is still to be had here! Keep us posted on how your game is going! Wyv |
I know exactly what you mean Catzenpewters - I picked it up again a fortnight or so ago. At least this time I am running past Erathsmador in the Shire instead of trying to force the dragon to take a shroud whilst yelling Elseramavin as he toasts me to a crisp.
"Run trollie trollie" ;) |
Welcome back...It is indeed good to visit a familiar realm again...And like Wyv said...keep us posted...

Welcome back, catzenpewters! May your journeys in the Gael Serran fill your days and night with adventure and reward...
For some reason, people look funny at me when I tilt my head and say "Chit chit!" :D |
