I'd just like to know as I have many dogs and have more than a passing interest in animal health particularly the implementation of alternative treatments, not to mention a few base questions. If so, would this person mind the occasional private message to their inbox?

You don't believe a vet's opinion is flawless, do you ?

The correct answer is "Get your cheap ass down to the ER" :D

Well, my dad is a Vet, and has his own practice, been practicing for some 25 years or the like. He also holds the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons certificate in small animal dermatology (quite rare) and gets cases from all around the country. So I could always ask him if you were needing help - also one of his staff specialises in homeopathy and alternative medicine, so that may be of interest to you (you mentioned alternative treatment).

Check out the site if you like, www.polesburnvets.co.uk

Of course not. That's why I want to talk to one to exchange (even argue ) opinions especially the altern. vs. orthodox medicine side. I've had fallouts with one vet already in my area about what I believe was incorrect treatment, lol.

Ross, thanks for the info. and site about your Dad...I almost wouldn't want to bother him but it is nice to know I have an online contact for possible advice in case of emergency. But nah, I was just looking for someone to bounce off who comes here is all. don't wanna be harassing your Dad every day .
