Geez, that Shoemaker fella has the entire world thinking that the end is taunting us. So, if this DOES hit, TO THE JELLO CAVE!

Well, theres a ~0.33% chance of it being in an earth impact trajectory. More observations = more accurate preditions, and with something possibly hitting earth, they'll be keeping an eye on it.

Even if it does turn out to be on an impact trajectory, it's 25 years away. Even present technology can move its trajectory enough with 25 years warning.

Lol, Friday the 13th.

I think we're more likely to suffer nuclear winter before an asteroid gets us. Or maybe the world will crap out on us (get rid of us like fleas?), at least according to something my friend emailed me a while back. Something about Pentagon scientists finding that if we don't do something right quick the environment is going to give life on the planet the big smack down within the next ten years. Unfortunately I don't have that email anymore with the link. But it does coinide nicely with the Mayan (I think) calendar telling us that we're going to be wiped out in 2012. I'll admit the last bit is something like third hand info, but I'd believe it....

Winter Wolf, I like the cut of your jib.

We're all going to die as a result of our own stupidity, which is even GREATER than that of the massive ball of ice and rock hurtling through space that will eventually collide with the Earth.

even less what...???

less likely?
If thats what you are saying, I disagree. I think if we all do bite it, it WILL be becuz of our stupidity. But, I have no proof of the matter yet (so don't go hiding in the anti-stupidity shelter under the house quite yet...)

</font>[/QUOTE]Hmm, must check post before posting in future.

No, I subscribe to the theory that the thing that's going to wipe out mankind, is mankind.

Essentially what I was trying to say was that our collective intelligence is smaller than that of the Harbinger of Doom and Destruction/Meteorite (obviously, very stupid considering it's a rock). It was a joke, it failed.

...Mankind sucks. :D
