Hi. I just started using BG2 and noticed that there are categories for "Hiding in shadows," and "Moving silently." In BG/TOSC there was only "Hide in shadows." WHat's the difference between the categories, besides the obvious? The rule book just parrots back the title of the abilities- "Moving silently allows your character to move without being heard," and so on.
If I were playing a thief, how should points be distributed between these categories, for example? thanks, |
Hide in shadows is tops
Move quietly...I think there's a bug, I had an assassin with massive hide and little move quietly, almost nevre gets caught...definately buggy there somewhere... |
You only need those skills if you like to backstab. I, personaly beeing a swashbuckler lover, don't need those two skills. So I never put points there.

I always raise both at the same time.

Your chance to Stealth depends on the average of your HiS and MS skillpoints.

So in theory, to get a 75% average, you can either have, HiS: 150 MS : 0 HiS: 75 MS : 75 HiS: 0 MS : 150 My solo Assassin is currently, HiS: 125 MS : 125 |
