I have managed to get down to the room with the dude with the deck of many things. But no matter what I do I cannot continue past. I have played his game to the point where Im sick of it and Ive even tried killing him. In the walkthrough it just says he has a gem but not what its called so I cant even use an editor to get it. Any help here would be welcome, Thank You

You don't actually have to beat him at the deck of many things, because if you do, he'll get angry and attack you. Your best bet is to just bet the gem when you play him at the Deck of Many Things and if you lose (more than likely), he'll assemble the rod and return it to you after he's done.

Just attalk him if you want, take the gem, and use the deck of many things yourself. You can get over 1 million XP from the deck if you draw the right cards.

You get more XP and items if you play nice (and smart). ;)

More XP? I don't know about that, but you can get more items.
Unless you mean the XP from killing any potential summons, but those don't give you that much XP. I drew Sun and Throne together once, and Sun is worth like, 200,000 XP and Throne gives you 1 million xp.
