Hivetyrant 12-30-2004 01:38 PM

Just wondering how long you guys stay up.
For the last couple of weeks, I have been getting up in the afternoon at about 2-3 and going to bed at about 5-6AM
I doubt that there will be many of you who also do that, except Dave, who thinks he can stay up later than me :D but still.
Or are you like my parents, as in, you HAVE to go to bed at a certain time?

Xen 12-30-2004 01:42 PM

No I don't have to go to bed at certain time. I go when I feel like it.

Hivetyrant 12-30-2004 01:46 PM

Ok, by that I meant they always stick to a "schedule" They refuse to go to bed at any other time.

Dave_the_quack 12-30-2004 01:55 PM

Hive mate, I get PAID to stay up later than you. Now, go rest yer head buddy, your feeling veeeerry verrry sleepy.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZ

Once again, thanks for the sig ;)

Hivetyrant 12-30-2004 02:11 PM

zzzzzz......huh??? oh thanks....zzzzzzzz

philip 12-30-2004 02:24 PM

It's holidays now so my sleeping scheme is really messed up now. I think I need to be awake for some time before I can sleep and I started the holiday with a huge party so I couldn't sleep next day. Earliest I fell asleep was yesterday which was at 2:30 AM. Rest of it was between 4 AM and 6 AM. I wake up between 10AM and 11AM. Once I have to go to school again I'll be so tired I can easily sleep :D

johnny 12-30-2004 02:38 PM

Mostly until 3-4 AM, since i hardly ever start working before 11, so i can sleep in pretty much every day.

Ivelliis 12-30-2004 03:22 PM

Well I went to America and hadn't done my paper round, getting up at 9am for two weeks, and going to bed usually as soon as I got in (Florida wears you out ).
Now I have to get up at 8am and I don't finally sleep till about 12. I'm finding it real hard to drop off atm.

pritchke 12-30-2004 03:22 PM

I usually go to bed around 4 or 5 am on holidays and weekends, and get up around 11 am. Normal work days in bed by 12 midnight and up around 7am.

Sir Goulum 12-30-2004 03:58 PM

Usually around 10 or 11 PM. But I read for good hour or so, so I usually go to sleep at about 11 or 12.

Iron Greasel 12-30-2004 04:02 PM

Usually around 10 or 11 pm. Lately around 1 or 2 am.

Blind_Prophet 12-30-2004 04:10 PM

sleep at 2-3 am up for work at 8 am

Kestrel Daystar 12-30-2004 05:07 PM

Same sleeping pattern as you Hivetyrant, heheh. My parents are always having a go at me for sleeping in too late.

--Kestrel--

Jorath Calar 12-30-2004 05:14 PM

When I feel like it... although it's usually 2-3 am
on working days.

spydar 12-30-2004 05:23 PM

Preferably 4-5am, but that's becuase I'm an utter moron during the day and am actually smartest at night. I've tested this, I get more work done, write better papers, and understand my textbooks the best between 12-4am, the rest is just filler or me screwing around.

Intrepid 12-30-2004 07:11 PM

I had been averaging a great 14 hours sleep for a few days, but I have been staying up later and later, so i have cut back to about 8.
That means i can stay up till 5~6am, teriffic timing i might add as i have actually been awake since 5pm yesterday, and it is now 11 am, but i think i might take a nap for like 3 hours before new years, which is bound to be a fantastic party.

Illumina Drathiran'ar 12-30-2004 07:15 PM

I choose to stay up until two or three. Insomnia regularly keeps me up until four, five, or six.

Zuvio 12-30-2004 07:22 PM

G'night, going to bed now .........

Kakero 12-30-2004 07:29 PM

Up until 12am or 1 am. Can't stay awake after that.

At the moment for me, I'm usually up at 9:30am and I go to bed at around 1 -2 am>
But starting next monday I'll have to go to bed early because i go back to work on tuesday and I have to start at 7:30am!

The Hierophant 12-30-2004 09:18 PM

There's no conscious plan to my sleep patterns, but I usually get to bed between midnight and 3 am. If I have an 'early' get-up the next morning (usually around 6am to get ready for work in a cafe) then I try to get to bed before midnight. This rarely happens though, as my brain is simply not usually in the rhythm of getting relaxed and sleepy at that time. I worked on an orchard for a couple of months last year, during which my friends and I usually got up at around 5am, in which case we got into the habit of being in bed and asleep by 10pm at the latest.

Arledrian 12-30-2004 09:28 PM

It's very rare that I'm in bed before 2am. It's usually between 2 and 4, but I regularly stay up til 6 or so. I'm a real night owl and do most things after dark. If I could lead a true vampiric life and switch day and night around, I absolutely would. I just seem to be at my mellowest and most productive at night.

Ladyzekke 12-30-2004 10:19 PM

Well I have to go to work in the morning during the workweek, so I usually hit the hay around 11:00pm. Weekends are different. :D

I used to do the sleep all day, stay up all night, deal when I lived with my parents and had no job and it was summer so no school either and I was just a freebird LOL. Ah miss those days. Relish them while you have them HiveTyrant.

Mack_Attack 12-30-2004 10:23 PM

Well being a shift worker I have a real weird sleeping patern when working. But on days off I am in bed by 11:00pm maybe a bit later nothing past midnight. And up between 8 am and 8:30. There would be no way that I could stay up that late. Getting up and spending time with the family is a prority with me. So more time with them is always good. :D Hense most of my posts come from work. ;)

Jaradu 12-30-2004 10:28 PM

It's 3:22am GMT and I'm going to bed now... of course, were this a school night, I would've been asleep 4-5 hours ago . Nighty night. ;)

Bozos of Bones 12-30-2004 10:32 PM

I always sleep 6 hours, so if I have to get up at 7, I go to sleep at 1, and if I can sleep in untill 11, I go to bed at 5... Haven't slept more than 6 hours a day for about 3 or so months now... Probably should change, but I see sleep as a wayted time. I'll speel when I'm dead, that's the motto behind this...

Q'alooaith 12-30-2004 10:48 PM

Depends..

If Sophie and Katie have stop over then about 2ish, though it can be till half 4 somtimes..

When I have more mates over things are a little more sensible (well maybe that not the right word), and everyone's in a bed before 2 normaly..

Left to my own devices I put of sleeping for as long as possible, I don't like falling asleep, I often go whole days without sleeping, I've at this moment been up for about 40 hours, so far..

When I have important things I have to do I go to bed at about 2, then up at 6..

I don't like the day and I don't like the night, give me dusk and dawn anytime.

Bungleau 12-30-2004 11:07 PM

I generally get to bed somewhere after midnight, and hopefully by one. Often it's one-something, which is occasionally a wee bit close to two.

*edit* forgot to mention... I agree with Bozos. Sleep is just practice for being dead... ;)

Why's it a problem? 'Cause the rest of the house is in bed by 10, and they get up around sevenish. And they have the drastic nerve to get me up at the same freakin' time...

This morning, though, was a day off work... so they let me sleep in until 8:30 :D

Winter Wolf 12-31-2004 12:22 AM

I agree with Mack, more family time is good. But since the family seems to have their biological clocks set on 38 hour days, and the four dogs wake up at about 7am every bloody day, I get about 12 hours of sleep every two and a half days. Get to sleep anywhere from 6pm to 7am (38 hour days, remember?) The only regular time I get up is 6.30am sundays to learn martial arts with my most awesomest shifu who is technically retired but deemed this white boy worthy. ^__^

Aerich 12-31-2004 03:05 AM

School or work days I usually hit the sack between 12 and 1. Weekends and holidays, like now, extend the bedtime by at least an hour; lately I've been reading until 4 a.m.

However, I start an 8:30-5 job on Jan 4, so I'd better get my sleep patterns sorted out quick.

Variol (Farseer) Elmwood 12-31-2004 06:32 AM

... 'til bedtime...

RoSs_bg2_rox 12-31-2004 07:06 AM

Well I'm like Bozos, for the past 3-4months I have been sleeping for 6 hours a night. At the moment I'm going to bed between about 3-6 every morning, and getting up at about 11 (11 on the dot for the past few days actually)

Once the holidays are over I will be back go going to bed at about 1.30 and getting up at 7-7.30.

Azeral 12-31-2004 07:08 AM

man i dont go to bed till i want. if there us aNY spelling or grsmer mistake dont blame me blame the vokda hehehe

Bahamut 12-31-2004 07:13 AM

If I am on vacation, usually around 2-3 am.

Normally I'd go to bed at around 11pm-1am because of schoolwork and other stuff, and then I wake up at either 530 or 630am. If I can I will sleep early. :D

Aelia Jusa 12-31-2004 04:32 PM

Not late at all. I'm in bed usually by 9:30-10:00pm, unless I go out or stay up to watch a movie or something. I've always been an early riser and I need to get up early during the week because I have leave for uni by 7:20. Tuppence always wakes me up really early (3-4am - I don't actually get up then though ;) ) as well. And I need my full 8-8.5 hours of sleep a night.

Dron_Cah 12-31-2004 04:49 PM

Hmmm, last night? well, this morning, I guess. Went to sleep at 7:30ish (am). Then I was awoken by my screaming father close to 9, telling me to get up, and put on my suit to work. I think I really got maybe an hour of sleep. I'm sorta tired......

SilentThief 01-01-2005 03:07 PM

well, I go to bed at 10:00 in the morning becuz I work usually from 10:00 at nite to 6-7 in th morning. When I don't work, I still stay up most the night doin' something, hangin' with my homies or my home-ettes, playing on the computer, watchin' movies, playing videogames;

Bahamut 01-01-2005 04:07 PM
