I want to play BGII with Ignus, the crazy mage everyone loves from Planescape: Torment. There aren't, In my opinion, enough fire-elemental spells in BGII, and I think he'd need and item or two too. I'll have to make them. How easy is it to make the BGII engine do stuff and where should I go to get started?

you need IEEP to create new spells. I made a spell once by using the strings/effects of other spells and I learned to combine them, etc.

A quick question - is it possible to make cleric spells for mages and visa versa?
|
Possibly... though I have never tried that... give it a go.
|
er, I would, but I wouldn't know where to start -_-

Yeah, it's pretty easy. You need to open the spell file in question (I use WinBiff) and then just save it as a mage spell. Or a cleric spell. Look around in the dropdown menus; you'll find something. If you can't figure it out, I'll be a bit more comprehensive when I return.

Okay - so where do I get winbiff? (edit: a google search threw up nothing)

You'd be better served using modern tools, such as DLTCEP or Near Infinity, instead of IEEP.

Well, I managed to edit a spells & convert them to mage/cleric format - it seems to be working, so thanks Much appreicated!
