That's a new one for me. I can think of 2 things to try:
- turn your graphics mode to software temporarily.
- turn off all sound.
Hope one of those will get you passed that point. Otherwise: the Boogre caves are not necessary to complete the game, so you can skip it. (It's great fun to do them though, and you'll miss some nice things.)
If it doesn't help can you be more specific about the type of video card, and what sound card you use?
