in the manual, its says that if you dont wear armor, you get bonuses to your theif skills and if you do, you get penalities. What does jans armor count as? no armor? leather?

I think it counts as leather, but get rid of that crappy armour and get him the Bracers of Defense AC 3 instead.

OK, a bit off of topic but not much.. However, can someone tell me this: how come the Ankheg platemail (crafted) is considered as a magic one (and thus preventing you to use many goodies) and Red Dragon Scale isn't? Basically both are crafted ones, made from scales/chitin of living things. From all of them, I would suppose that the dragon is significally more magic creature then ankheg. So is this then a bug, starting since BG1? In my eyes, it definately should not be a magic armor (Ankheg platemail), since already dragon's scale armor isn't..

Probably you are right. Since in BG1 it was magical they just left it as it was [img]smile.gif[/img]
