So I was having a nice day today until about 2pm when for some reason I lost my internet connection, being the calm person I am I proceeded to throw the nearest thing across the room (TV remote) before fixing into some troubleshooting.

Shadowhound vs Computer

Round one:
Shadowhound manages to get behind the computer and check to make sure everything in plugged in, everything is, Shadowhound curses.

Round 2:
I run some scans to check for any viruses, none found but did kill a lot of spywear, so not a total waste.

Round 3:
I decide it must be a problem with my ISP and decide to pass time by playing Vampire: Bloodlines, several hours well spent.

Round 4: Get very very annoyed by all the bugs and throw object 2 (DVD remote), before deciding to download patch... and then hitting myself for being a moron

Round 5: Recheck connection properties, computer, sanity. Notice there is no power light on my hub... have a very sinking feeling.

Round 6: Plug hub back into power socket... must have kicked it out earlier.

Today has not been my brightest day lol, anyone have any similiar moments of stupidity?

Not quite the same, but I spent a couple of hours googling for a patch for a game - only to realise the URL to the main site was on the back of the box... ...and then discovered there wasn't a patch.

Drove home from work to unlock my wife's car -dropped off my holiday bonus check, left to go back to work, go the cell call from my wife asking me to turn around and unlock the car....

I like that one BK. That is classic.

I almost did that last week. The phone rang at work and my wife thought I had the van keys. I did not though. ;)

I never make misakes by the way.
