Can somebody please tell me what should I do with the broken weapon thet i found in Irenicus's dungeon. Im in chapter 6 and sill I dont know what to do with it.

did you import your character from baldurs gate cause ive heard that some items get scattered arround his dungeon if you had it in your invitory when you imported i think that weapons only brake in bg1 because of the tainted ore i dont think that happens in bg2 but you do get some weapons made of parts if your talking about the pommel jewel of the equalizor youve got to get the other parts and have the equalizer made by cromwell hope this helps.

Nah, its because they were made with the spell "Enchanted Weapon" or something. They break after a while, so they are useless. throw it away.

That broken sword drove me absolutely bugnuts when I first played the game, but I never found any use whatsoever for it. At least now I have a bit of an explanation as to what it might be thanks to you all's posting.

My first party carried that darn thing around until chapter 5 or 6 before I finally dumped it.

umm, I just remembered somehting else, when you talk to the weaponsmith who makes all the kick ass weapons but you can not buy them unless you give him pieces for it like the pommel jewel, he also says he needs a hilt from a sword. I do not know if it is the same or what I thrw the thing away before I could ask him about it.
