Sounds weird. May be a bug. You do know that when you start a new chapter you get a new page in you logbook for each chapter, do you ? You can acces the older chapters. Forget i said that.

Because those are the chapter 2 quests. Each quest is recorded by chapter in the appropriate part of your journal. To go back, or forward, to another chapters quests, use the two large gray arrows that are to either side of your journal.

Your quests didn't get deleted.... the page in your journal had turned over. You can switch between Chapters in your journal by clicking the buttons on the sides. Everytime you complete a chapter your journal will be updated with a new page for the new chapter.

Happened to me except it was only a small church quest.
