Well, as the game has only one decent scimitar, (useable for most of the game) Belm, has anyone made any +4/+3 scimitars/sabres with decent abilities? (Apart from the boring "bonus to ac" ones.)

Scimitars are supposed to be super sharp quality weapons, not the rubbish we're getting! Any Vorpal/keen ones out there? (It is a slashing weapon after all.) http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...s/rolleyes.gif

The Water's Edge is a +3 scimitar, but it doesn't really have anything else special.

In throne of bhall they said there going to have at least one great version of every weapon so a +5 scimitar will probably show up

Why are Ninja tos and Washizashi (can't spell) never mentioned?

What makes "scimitars" stand out - I just don't get it. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...s/rolleyes.gif

I have two nice scimitars on my site that are unlike most in the game...

It is stupid to categorize scimitars and ninja-tos and wakizashis together. It would make much more sense to put them with katanas... Oh well.

Katanas are in a class of their own. I think they classified Scimitars and Ninja-Tos and Wakizashis together because of the curved blades.

Why?

Perhaps because there are hardly any scimitars, wakizashis and ninja tos in the game, it would be silly to have a seperate class for ninja tos and wakizashis. Also, ninja tos etc. have more in common with scimitar or even short swords/daggers than katanas.

also, ppl that used Katanas trained for their whole life on that one weapon almost exclusively, so having it as its own proficiency only makes sense http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...les/img206.gif

Yea well if you trained with a katana your likely to have trained with its companion sword the wakizashi.
