Yes it's true for some crazy reason gnomes can be barbarians.
But surprisingly i played a game with one till chapter 3 and it
was definitely kicking a lot of butts for goodness, Minsc was
proud. But my question is have any of you played with any insane
charecter's?

What's wrong with a gnome being a barbarian. He could run up and bite the enemy in the foot trip them over and then club them to death with a turnip http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

Bite them in the foot? Somewhere higher up would be more effective http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif, or maybe breaking their kneecaps by headbutting them.

I tried a halfling barbarian for a while. Had him dual-wielding Stonefire & Frostreaver with the Girdle of Hill Giant Strength. He definitely kicked ass. The main reason I'd made him up was to give him the name Atilla the Hungry http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

I dont understand why warrior/barbarion was aloud to halflings.

And why did the gnome get illusionistness?

By the rules, any race can be a barbarian (imagine barbarian elves http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif ). The gnome/illusionist possibility is a carryover from 1st and 2nd edition AD&D rules, which is what the game is based on.

The more important question is not why do they allow halfling barbarians but WHO would want to play one.

Has anyone played with a half-orc bard or a gnome wizard slayer?
