Help Im completely new to this sort of game and have a couple of questions:

1 All these gems and jewels and necklaces I keep finding, should I be keeping them for something or just sell them for some quick cash.

2 Im to put it mildly pretty crap at this game but plan to complete it without cheating but I'll no doubt want to play it again later with the cheats. The only problem is I cant get them to work! Are the cheats different for the UK version? Can anyone help?

I can't help you with the cheats, but sell the jewelry that did not require an identifiy. There are some jewels (pommel gem of the equilizer) you want to keep.

Did you put the debug=1 into the baldur.ini file before you tried to use the cheats?

A simple rule, if you had to identify it, it may be useful and perhaps worth keeping...however, even these you may consider selling...you'll need the money.
