to turn the page or not to turn the page.. that is the question. Do you veterans out there know if the spells in this book are predetermined or if they are randomly chosen each time you turn a page? Also, how many pages does it have before reaching the last and final spell? thanks

shamrock_uk 02-10-2005 02:54 PM

They are predetermined. They do not necessarily follow any kind of obvious 'order' however.

It probably would be more 'fun' to test it and see what happens, but if you *really* want to know...

End of spoilers.

Hmm...maybe the page is innacurate then Iron Greasel. It does tend to follow an item code order though: MISC3A6, 3A7, 3A8 etc...

In my experience, that is a complete list. Not every book has all eight spells - sometimes there are duplicate pages. I've experimented with it a fair bit, because I'm always hoping to get spell turning for non-magic users. (Yes, I know that counts as cheating, thank you very much)

Iron Greasel 02-11-2005 11:46 AM

I once got three firballs in a row.

What kind of an ancient arcane wizard desings a book like that anyway?

Q'alooaith 02-11-2005 01:50 PM

It's not cheating, it's a book able to be used by anyone so turning pages for the spell you hope to get's just fine.. as long as you don't use power word reload..
