If someone got in my face i mean really got in my face then id prob turn him into stone/squirrel.But evil char would like prob kill right?so i cant decide usually i give stuff and be nice but annoying guys i kill and or statue/squirrel em.

I want to have a party of evil ( i like the evil chars ) but i want to know the diff between what id do and theyd do to determine my alignment. can u guys help?

Evil characters could do either: They may feel turning someone into a squirel is more evil than killing them. It's up to you, really.

As pcgiant has said, it really just depends on the brand of evil you want to pursue. Do you want to be sadistic, malevolent, homicidal, sociopathic, xenocidal(very challenging to pull off and live through at the same time), or a quirky mixture of everything. I honestly wouldn't recomend going xenocidal after all killing everybody who is a stranger to you would close out a whole mess of quests. Like maybe all of them? It would also have just about every Coweled Wizard and Bounty Hunter on your tail every three seconds. All this most likely followed by the sudden lack of shops because you killed all the store keeps which were by the way strangers.

Look im not gunna be killing everyone but if some bandits say like this is my path pay a toll or dont pass then id kill em and i would disagree and get smart to authoritys but i mean i wont just freakin summon in like a pit fiend in my game. ( i will sometimes but not save it )

Most evil persons prefer Feeblemind/Contagion/Emotion/Imprisonment.

Here's at hint: Roleplay the *character*, not the alignment. RPing the alignment amounts to RPing a walking, talking moral. Alignment is only a tool to mold a character. Developing the history, philosophy (espc. Paladin/Priest classes), and opinions of your character helps determine what *your* character would do under certain circumstances.

As others said, it's about motivation. What motivates your character? Greed, bloodlust, sadism, power, etc.? Don't ask what would they do, but why they would do it. If you know why your character would take action, you know it's the right action for that character. The action might not be the "most evil" action to take, but it's consistent with the character. That's what matters.

The custom biography feature is most excellent for fleshing out character personalities, btw. (The "user" journal entries are fantastic, too.)

Lemmy that was a great reply even though i didnt know what u were saying half the time. my char likes power as u can see by my sig , hmm the thing is i like the evils area but i do some good things rasing my rep and i dont want to get my rep too high cus they would leave , and most Qs usually get u a rep point which means il have to kill someone every so often but i spose thats ok :(

Xero279 04-16-2003 05:53 PM

Its just how you see your chars. I like playing true neutral or chaotic neutral. with the latter, you get to do everything chaoticly, but not allways good or evil. i might beat up a noble to get money to give to an orphan, then they next second disintegrate a begger. unpredictable! :D

kryptobeats 04-16-2003 05:56 PM

youll get through the game alot faster!!!! and...uh...probably get stuck because you killed someone you needed.

super_smasher3 04-16-2003 07:30 PM

I would say be a Chaotic Neutral character becuase a character of that alignment would have no problem having the evil characters in you party and might also do some good quests that would give you a rep point. It's like Xero said: if you got too high of a reputation you could just turn around and kill someone for annoying you (like that freaking loser in Trademeet who follows you around and talks to you every 5 seconds! Literally!. Anyway, that's just my 2 cents. http://community.the-underdogs.org/s...py/biggrin.gif
