Maybe this is a silly question, but I dont know the answer... Is it better to have my saveing throw numbers high or low? I thought it was better to be high, but my friend says no, which is it? Thanks all

Lower the better. Using this as an example, your saving throw versus spells is 8. This means that you need to roll an 8 or higher to avoid being affected by a particular spell. (Determined by a virtual 20 sided die). If you need to save at a negative number:

take silence 15' radius - you need to save at -5 therefore you would need a 13 or higher to avoid being silenced.

Hope this helps.
