I know i've changed my profile, but what does it do?

Ed asked how he could change his profile; Avatar helped him out, Memnoch.

Ed: when you change something in you profile (for instance your signature): it will change when you post. Other example: changing the email address where you want to receive your emails, will make the mods send emails to that new address.. It's basically keeping things up to date.
