So, I got my computor back the other day, and, while pleased that it didn't have to be formatted, I was shocked at how much junk got on it in only about 10 hours of internet use for it.

Aside from the 23 viruses I had ( ), I had 161+!!!!! things of spyware on my computor.(I assume it can't count past 161 ). That's gotta be some record for maybe 10 hours of internet use.

God sake. I think you need to use some protection

Do you have a firewall? An AV scanner? Adaware? Spybot? etc.

I have none and I have been connected to the net for about 10days straight!

Let me guess...you went online without a firewall...

RoSs_bg2_rox 11-04-2004 07:47 PM

I had to do that once between installs of windows, and I was only on for 45 minutes and already the pr0n adds were flowing.

Quite correct, my good man! My PC has been banished from the internet for a while, anyways.

Yeah, but you said you were online for 10 hours, if you go online THAT long without protection, i can only say that it's your own stupid fault.

Pff...before I knew what a firewall WAS I used the Internet for 3 to 4 years .

...probably why my last computer imploded.

I agree with Sigmar...

Only recently have I started getting problems, and so I switched to Mozilla, then Firefox... and now no problems again...

That's not really a record to be proud of...
