Well, I've beaten the game again with
my druid and he is safely in ToB which
I plan on playing. In the mean time I
am itching to start a new character, but
I can't decide!!!!!

I want to play either a cavalier or a
sorcerer, and both classes sound great.

Opinions, Comments appreciated.

The Sorcerer is the strongest class in the game, no doubt about it.

The cavalier is amongst the coolest classes in the game, no doubt about it http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

But unfortunately for the Cavalier, the sorcerer would fry him easily in a battle.

Do a cavalier. I'm playin as one in TOB and it rocks. The only drawbacks are no missle weapon use. Big deal, +4to hit on classic monsters like demons and dragons, +20 acid and fire resistance, and the carsomry

But unfortunately for the sorceror, it won't be cavalier vs sorceror but cavalier vs an army of monsters vs sorceror vs an army of monsters (I'm confusing myself a bit here http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif)

And besides, what can be more fun than playing a traditional, stereotypical, muscular hero such as a Cavalier (don't answer that http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif)

If you want to be challanged a but try a Beastmaster
I'll make you use the Ranger to it's fullest.
Stealth and Archery which you normally don;t use that much with a Ranger but you are forced to use with a Beastmaser cause you can only wear studded leather armor (allowes stealth) and Wooded weapons (best wooded weapons are Bows and Staves)

Between Sorcerer and Cavalier
I'm a Magicks fan so i would say a Sorcerer though they tend to be a bit overpowered.
Cavaliers are nice in roll-playing asp[ect but totally lack magicks

Have you ever tried a Sorcerer?
They tend to be so overpowered it just ain't fun anymore
I killed the whole Twisted Rune without even a scratch with a Sorcerer

AHHHH!!!!

Cannot decide... both classes too cool... ... http://www.plauder-smilies.de/nut.gif

Let us see... since you were a spellcaster already, go for Cavalier. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

If not a Sorcerer casting total oblivion, then a Cavalier meting out justice. Otherwise, I think I will just be a Blade and torture my enemies with, "My Heart Will Go On".

Actually, as an Archer I constantly used missile weapons, stealth and leather armour. Legolas did most things by himself too, except disarming traps, opening locks and the really big battles.
But you are right, the Beastmaster has been inofficially declared as the worst kit in BG2 (and that's what makes it a challenge)
