Not sure if this has been discussed here, but it's pretty upsetting. Shot while playing video games in his recording studio in QUEENS! Not good.

Now a rap promoter has been shot in his van in the Bronx.

Not good. Not good for the music industry, not good for Mizells family, decimating for Run DMC, not good for New York. :(

Wasn't this last Thursday or Friday? I remember hearing about this last week. I wonder, don't we introduce more artists into the industry than we have leaving it?

He was shot three days ago. Terrible. Executed they're saying.

Yes, I had a thread about it last week, I think. :( Ridiculously tragic. A true talent, silenced forever.

I heard about this as well, it's too sad for words. I've listened to JMJ all my life. Rest in peace, bro.

I've heard there is some kind of war going on between the rappers of the eastcoast and the westcoast, is this true ?

I think there's always some kind of subsconscious tension between the two, but it'll never be a declared, full-out kind of 'war'. I don't see the point in this rivalry, it's all so petty. But seeing as I'm overlooking the Atlantic right now anyway - east coast all the way, baby ;)
