Alright I have had the vaguest hint of a song humming around the back of my head all day and I can't take it anymore. All I know is two (probably wrong) lines which keep bugging me.

"You gave me another piece of cake,
and that was you biggest mistake"

Could be first/last mistake. I have no idea, just hoping someone knows the song I am trying to find so I can get it out of my head.
