A cheese danish in Denmark is called a cream cake or "Flødekager" and french frys are "Pommes frites"
Now someone must tell me the names of these in their native lands...

English Muffin
Canadian Bacon
Polish sausage

Polish sausage = Polsk Sausage
German potato salad = Tysk potet salat

cheese danish = En Dansk Ost and a cream cake = Fløtekake!

All this above is translated in to Norwegian! :D and it is almost the same in Danish!

Atually, bacon would be referred to as:

Lard Canadien (that's right, lard [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) in French
Bacon in English [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Hmmm...lemme see if I can pronounce it for you in my native language:

Polish sausage = Polish sausage (though I buy it in the store and sometimes it's called Polska Kielbasa there [img]tongue.gif[/img] )
