I just got Darkstone as part of a 3-game boxed set (the other two are Age of Wonders and Tzar) and had a few questions.
1-Black spikes keep zapping from around my characters and the NPC's, its really annoying. Is there a setting I should change?
2-I guess you only get two characters at any one time? If so can I switch them for others?
3-The cd's supposed to have the manual on it, where the hell is it?
4-Thanks for any help, especially with #1

I read the piece of paper and found the manual on the cd, you need a magnifying glass to read it

1-no idea what is wrong
2-only 2 chars in single player
u can change them but u have to exit the game first

1) Sounds like a video card problem. Make sure you have the latest drivers and try selectively enabling/disabling the display variables under "options". You will also want to download and install the patches.

2) Yep only two chars per single player game, but you can have any number of sp games with any combination you like (if that makes sense http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif)

3)in a readme file or in .PDF format - just guessing.

Ok I turned the shadows off and it works a lot better. Also got killed and forgot to have any kind of save. What a rookie lol
