why can't human swashbucklers can't dual?

Are swashbucklers are worth the time to play when they can't BACKStaB

Vedran 03-28-2003 03:44 PM

Human swashbucklers should be able to dual to fighter, thief and cleric.
You would probably be better with a fighter/thief if backstab is your primary objective.

Xanthul 03-28-2003 03:47 PM

You probably meant fighter, mage or cleric, swashie is already a thief
And yeah, they are very good even if they cant backstabb.

Sythe 03-28-2003 03:51 PM

but he can't mon I will show yeah a scrrenshot of it dude. Does the swashie have to be a certan level or something same thing is with my custom made ranger.

Remember that you must be human and that your first-class main stat must be at least 15 while your second-class main stat must be 17 or more. So to dual a swashbuckler into a fighter, you must have 15 dex and 17 strenght at least (dunnno if CON is primary to fighters too, if it is it should be 17 also). Make it 17 INT to dual to mage and 17 WIS for cleric.

IIRC, you have to have 15 points in your first class' primary stat and 17 in primary stat of the class you are dualing to. Somebody correct my if I'm wrong.

Dundee, perhaps you should put this kind of section to the Forum Guidelines, 'cause this is asked quite often.

(Dual-classing info is in Chapter 5, by the way.)
