Anyone knows a good (free) PDF to DOC converter? Possibly with full options not just first five pages for example? Thanks in advance.

I know of a program named Able2Doc, it's not free, but if you Google for it, i'm sure you can download a free trialversion, that should help you on your way.

You know what the old saying right? "You get what you pay for."
Please keep that in mind when you are trying to convert your pdf files.

And I imagine the two of you paid for your copies of Firefox/Opera for example? :rolleyes: Skype? MSN Messenger? AdAware?

There are tons of free open source software that are excellent and Xen asked if you know one of them that is a pdf to doc converter. If you have nothing useful to add...

I got these http://www.primopdf.com/ http://www.pdf995.com/ courtsey of the chacha search engine. They are pdf creators but I think can be used to convert pdf into doc too.

EDIT: and SR replied while I was typing...

On a sidenote... .doc is a proprietary format, thus creating a converter requires either reverse engineering or knowledge of the file structure of a .doc file. (It bears noting that the new file format .docx (and the rest for Office 2007) is an open format and thus the specifications are available).

It does not mean that it's impossible, but it's not easy. ZFR beat me to the links by hours...so I won't mention anything about those. Alternatively google provides quite a few links (the first few with trial versions. If you only need to convert one file, then I guess a trial version is perfect.

</font>
While I don't have any of the software you mentioned, I did pay for my version of Adobe Acrobat Professional and all of the other software on my PC. I even pay for my songs for my iPod...
Maybe I'm just dumb for paying for it instead of taking advantage of the system but I just can't bring myself to do it any other way.

Downloading pirated songs is something completely different. I'm not talking about illegally using pirated software. I'm talking about open source programs. All the software I mentioned above *is* free.
