Seeing that this has not been brought up yet, I was wondering what everyone is going to play on your 1st time though NWN2? ( my pre order was messed up and I'm still waiting).
I'm going to try either a monk or dwarven fighter/thief 1st. I don't know what race on the monk yet.

I'm hooping to have a singleplayer and a multiplayer game going at once-ish. So, considering a wood elf barbarian, or fighter, or barbrarian/fighter, preferably spear-wielding. And a halfling ranger. Might end up with something completely different tho.

I'm playing through a rogue/warlock right at the moment, but I'm disadvantaged with all the melee I have to do at the start. I'm thinking of swapping over to a fighter/sorcerer, prestiging to eldritch knight (haven't worked out the optimum build yet).

I decided to play a finesse fighter with parry and aiming for duelist prestige class. I like the improved parry feat, it makes things a lot more interesting now, combined with the +10 bonus you should be able to get on parry with the duelist class, I'm interested in what parry will do.

Finesse Fighter here, as usual i might add.

Okay, after a few hours of playing...

The Finesse Fighter with parry ROCKS in this game. Give your high-dex fighter weapon finesse, improved parry, skill focus(parry) and you're all set to go! Let your party members focus on the casters and archers while you distract the melee attackers. You'll parry most of their attacks, often getting riposte hits because of improved parry, and I've seen a lot of critical hits already. Can't wait to see the power of the duelist. :D

I'm playing a Wizard right now. What? That's exciting!

My second playthrough, I'm going to try an arcane trickster.

Well, my rogue/warlock is doing ok - I'm planning to pick invocations that will help my rogue abilities (like turning invisible, beguiling, etc). Problem is I'm shyte at melee. Anyone see if there's any point in taking some barbarian levels? Or will I end up gimping myself?

As long as you won't be giving yourself an XP penalty, why not?

You can pick 4 classes in NWN2 so you don't have to worry about that either.
