(Apologies for posting this to both SoA and ToB forums, but it's relevant to both)

The BG2 Fixpack is a WeiDU compilation of fixes for Baldur's Gate II. With the disappearance of Kevin Dorner and the cessation of activity of the Baldurdash fixpack for BG2, several modders form many modding communities began working on a new WeiDU fixpack to address the numerous bugs that have been identified since Baldurdash. This collaborative effort, including the work of modders from several different modding communities, has resulted in a fixpack that currently includes all of the fixes addressed by Baldurdash (including the Game Text Update) and several hundred new bugfixes. The project is ongoing, and we're working through a substantial list of bugs culled from various sites, the old Baldurdash forums, and our own research.

nifty - adj. Amer. slang. 1. Containing or possessing a greal deal of nift.

And the best part is, it contains both BaldurDash fixpacks, so I no longer have to tell people "Don't install the SoA Fixpack if you've already installed ToB" and stuff.

Sweetness!

Complete with Six of Spades input. Now you can argue against all the stuff I deemed 'spurious'.

Just like how it was done previously, I would prefer if people kept 'fix' and 'tweak' seperate.

Changing items wholesale is tweaking. Correcting item descriptions is fixing.

We could argue until the cows come home on whether the Firetooth dagger should be nerfed, but that should be under a seperate mod for game balance. It will not fall under the realm of bugfixing.

~~~~ ~~~~
One thing I am never quite sure on whether it is a bug, is the issue of STR damage bonuses applying to Slings. Why create an item that specifically states it adds STR damage bonuses when practically every other sling already does?
~~~~ ~~~~

Is there any way to fix the Bag of Holding bug that enables you to recharge items placed in it?

~~~~ ~~~~
Remove the Level-Drain immunity from the Berserker's Rage. It is not stated in its' description. I believe this was an oversight by the makers.
Consider a change that breaks Firetooth into 2 items, with the user able to switch back & forth between them, a la the "2-Handed Katanas and Bastard Swords" tweak. The Thrown version of Firetooth would be unusable by Kensai and Cavaliers, just like Darts are. Would you call this a tweak or a bugfix?
(Damn. Just looked them up, and saw that all Throwing Daggers are usable by Cavaliers and Kensai, even though Darts are not. Anybody want to explain this?)
Agreed. This is one of the reasons why we had a team approach to this--determining whether something is even a bug to begin with is the first step. Look through the Archived Fixes board and you'll see some excellent 'discussions' on the matter. The 'Optional But Cool' stuff is where you see our tweaks.
In the end, there's no way to change Firetooth without introducing new bugs, so it's unchanged in the Core Fixes. A separate OBC component does make changes however.
Actually, the bug was in the ammo. Magic bullets had the strength bonus attached, not the weapons. The only sling with the strength bonus is the Sling of Seeking.
Hardcoded. Nothing we an do about this one.
...which contradicts your assertion:
Now you can appreciate some of the decisions we had to make. Developer intent is always the first step to our bug/no-bug decision. Is it more likely that a dev added a slew of effects to Rage by accident, or that they were overlooked when writing the kit description? Where the description and actual effects of items/spells don't match, the actual abilities of the item or spell generally won.
We know that not everyone will agree with every one of our fixes. But, overall, we've done our best to be very conservative in our interpretation and bugfixes, and feedback is encouraged. Keep it coming.
so is it possible to download/install each fix separately like it was for baldurdash.
btw, is the famous potion swapping exploit to cast from scrolls (particualrly find familiar) fixed? Or is it hard coded too? :( couldn't find it in forums.
No. We patch files so it's not as simple as dropping files in the override a la Baldurdash. Also given the sheer number of changes (we corrected ~1500 broken triggers/actions in dialogues and scripts, for example) the maintenance of such an archive would be fairly horrific.
This is one of the reasons why we weighted the bug determination so heavily. On the upside, the Game Text Update and OBC are separate components and can be chosen separately.
Hardcoded. This and the 'fake talk' exploit are two hardcoded issues that I really, really wish we could fix. Also, thanks for the new bug reports over at G3.
Since I missed 6oS's post last time...
Tweak, but certainly a change we could consider for the existing OBC component.
Heh. Can't remember the exact Cavalier and Kensai kit descripts, but this sounds like a bug.
oh well... the 'good' thing about these bugs is that they don't occur unless you intentionally do it. So it's easy to avoid them unlike others, like the recharge item in BoH bug, in order to avoid it you have to resort to not storing items which can be a pain.
