I am having trouble deciding which one to get. This is my party;
Vladdigor (Thief)
Aerie
Jaheira
Minsc
Yoshimo
And I had Cernd but he left when we found his child. I thought about going and getting Keldorn or Valygar. I had Valygar in my party before but I don't know if I want him back. Who would you pick??

You need another tank, probably Keldorn. If you want Cernd back he's at the druid grove.

Do I have to do the unseeing eye quest when I get Keldorn? I am not ready to fight Liches and I read somewhere that there is one in that quest. I have not been able to beat a Lich yet and I am trying to avoid them as much as possible until I can get a little better. Thanks Draggor for your advice.

No you don't have to do the quest. The lich is in a coffin so just don't open the coffin and you won't have to fight him. The beholders are pretty nasty though.

You need to at least start the quest, even if you don't go through with it, for Keldorn to appear in the sewers. The quest has no liches, but it does have beholders, which can be a fair bit worse.

LOL, Draggor. ; )

Thanks. Beholders are worse than Liches? Great, I tried fighting a lich and got cremated. I can only imagine how I will do against a beholder.

Armisael 01-17-2001 01:01 AM

Beholders are tricky. Each of their eyes shoots a 'beholder ray', which has some sort of spell attached to it. They have about ten eyes each, which attack with spells like death, petrification, slow, fear, disintegrate and domination, and their center eye uses an anti magic ray, so you can't defend against them with spells. Their eyes can target separate members of the party. Good luck. : /

Thanks Armisael, it sounds like I will need it. Was there a beholder in the Windspear Quest?

Armisael 01-17-2001 01:08 AM

Nope.
