Just starting out in my game. Chose a Paladin. Dang she looks so hulky LOL, especially when armor is on her. Not that I'm surprised LOL. If you have the strategy guide, you see the puff.

I need some money LOL. I can't afford crap. My weapon at this time (and I'm trying to do the Graveyard subquest) is a Light Flail LOL. And my party keeps getting diseased (not me though hee) and I can't find anyone selling potions to errr, un-disease them. I thought Paladins could cure disease, but I can't seem to see it under any feat/skill options. Does disease just wear out after time?

Blah, either way, I need/want more shops dangit! And more gold too, but alas no regenerating monsters, so not sure how to actually do that...

Ah well, I'm enjoying the game nevertheless. Will continue it tomorrow when I'm refreshed (not drunk anymore). :D

So far (again I'm in the beginning) here is my character. Red Rainbow, although she's neither red nor rainbowey. Her shield looks really sad LOL. And she has that confused "what the hell am I wearing" look on her face too. Can't say I blame her.

To be continued....

Oh and post your character pics!

Invest points in diplomacy and wrangle cash from people in convo's. It doesn't count as a greed act (i'm a goodie cleric and I do it alot).

LZ,

At the graveyard and nothing better than a light flail? That's just so wrong ... lol

There should be a fairly wicked morning star, the Bone Phoenix, on the lizard chief in the lizard cave that appears right after you find Khelgar; and there is also a light hammer +1 called Storm. I'm pretty sure that I found a +1 astral longsword before the Graveyard as well - perhaps at the bandit camp.

As for disease, it HAS to be cured - the effects do not appear to wear off after time. I checked it out by resting several times after Khelgar got fragged by a zombie and it did not disappear. You should be able to pick up some cure disease potions from the cleric in Fort Locke. Btw, if you can spare the added weight, hang on to everything you can't identify until you get both Neeshka and Eleena in your party. Between the two of them, they should be able to use their lore skills to identify almost everything magical you find. That will save a bunch of gold at the beginning. But otherwise, yes, money does appear to be scarce so far.

I wouldn't worry about money too much, in time you'll have more than you can spend. I completely upgraded my stronghold out of my own pocket, those 70K you get from Nasher to start with are just peanuts. :D

Thanks Micah. Well when I step onto the blue circle that brings up your map areas, all I have atm is the Graveyard and the Bandit Camp. Nothing about a lizard cave. Is there anyway to access a better map than that flyspeck you get that they call the mini map (emphasis on mini!)? Maybe I could find it that way. Also, maybe I'll go for the Bandit Camp next and then try to finish the graveyard after that, hopefully with something better than my light flail LOL.

The lizard caves should have shown up on your world map right after you found Khelgar - if you talked to the bartender.

Try typing "m" and it will bring up a bigger version of the mini-map - which is totally useless. Make sure you move the map that pops up because it centers in the middle of your screen. Hit "m" again to close it.

The lizard caves are not on the world map as a selection - they are a location between the Weeping Willow Inn and Fort Locke. I think it might be called "Swamp" something.

SpiritWarrior 11-18-2006 07:31 PM

swamp cave iirc.

It might be called swamp caves instead of lizard caves, but it shows up when you transit on the world map. It's north of the weeping willow inn and east of fort locke.

didn't see spiritwarriors post when I typed this - must have crossed in transit. lol
